Alpana Ahuja is an artist based in Singapore.

Qualification:

Textile Designing from New Delhi Polytechnic.
Western Art at NAFA (Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts).

Career:

Member of ‘Group 90’ in a group of artists at Telok Kerau Studios, Singapore.  Life member of ‘Singapore Art Society’. Judge for the SIFAS  (Singapore Indian Fine Arts Society). Judge for a Zee T.V. Art Competition ‘Tare Zameen Par’ in 2008. Judge for the Global Indian International School Quality Convention Art Competition in 2012 & 2013.

Exhibitions:

'Ganpati to Gajah', a solo exhibition in 2014. ‘Power Ganesha, show 5’ a group show by The Gallery of Gnani Arts in 2010. ‘Lines and Rhythm’ a group show by The Sculpture Society of Singapore, at Fort Canning Gallery in 2010. Outdoor workshops: ‘Painting Trees in water colour’ at Fort Canning Park. A Group exhibition ‘NUSPIRITION’ with ‘Group 90’ at Bhaskers Art Gallery in 2008. 2007: A Solo Exhibition in Singapore at a private event of ‘Golf Pariwar’ the theme of this collection was ‘Women-sensual, artistic…’ ‘The Ganesha Show 3, The Secular God in Art’ a group exhibition at The Gallery of Gnani Arts, in 2006. ‘Zest in a Real Dream-Four Perceptions’ a group exhibition at The Gallery of Gnani Arts, Singapore, in 2005.


Technique:

Work through water colors, oils, acrylics and mixed media. Works on paper, canvas, walls, fabrics, wooden and glass artifacts etc. Paints a variety of subjects be it Hindu Gods, women or animals. Elephants are her current muse.
